Identity
Rediscover who we are
To reclaim our identity as a Centre-right party rooted in the traditions of Danquah, Busia, and Dombo.
The Campaign
I, Mrs. Yaa Amponsah Frimpong — known to many of you as Obaa Yaa — the current Chairperson of NPP-USA Branch, do hereby formally and publicly declare my intent to contest the position of National Vice Chairperson of the New Patriotic Party of Ghana in the forthcoming National Executive Officers Elections, slated for the 20th day of September 2026.
Declaration
I make this declaration with full understanding of the weight of the office I seek, the sacred trust it demands of its occupant, and the depth of service it requires of anyone who dares to hold it. I make it not in haste, but after years of quiet preparation, faithful service, and an abiding conviction that the moment has come for me to offer this party the fullness of what I carry.
I present myself to you not as a voice of discord, but as a pillar of comfort. Not to compete with the bold vision of our party’s leader, but to complement that vision with steadiness, wisdom, and calm purpose.
Four imperatives

That positions the NPP as a modern, 21st-century political organisation.
Resources
Democratic, transparent, dignified, and free from the corrosive culture of monetisation.
“Behind every bold vision is a quiet force that makes it possible.” — Obaa Yaa Amponsah Frimpong
Why this moment. Why her.
It needs one who arrives knowing the job — who has built digital membership systems, managed audited accounts, navigated internal elections, hosted international conferences, and led ground campaigns across twelve regions of Ghana. It needs someone who has done all of this not as a candidate, but as a servant.
For thirty years, Obaa Yaa Amponsah Frimpong has been that servant. In opposition and in government. In Colorado and in Kumasi. On the fundraising circuit and in the medical outreach tent. She has never needed a title to show up for this party. Now she is asking for the mandate to bring those skills, that record, and that commitment to the national stage.
“She doesn’t just fill the seat — she builds the house.”
